Doing it for themselves

BECKLEY — With some 50 years of combined experience, Dave and Chase Barton know a few things about pre-owned vehicles.

After working for years under other companies, the Bartons decided to set up their own shop — Barton Premium Pre-Owned Vehicles.

“We decided with the following we have and the people we know, with the long hours and hard work, we just decided to do it for ourselves,” Dave explained.

“We have a good reputation in town.”

Barton specializes in specialty vehicles, such as upper-scale SUVs and sports cars.

“We kind of pride ourselves on not carrying what everybody else does.”

Most vehicles on their lot have low mileage, are one-owner vehicles and many still have a remaining factory warranty.

“Every unit we carry is Carfaxed and guaranteed,” Dave said.

Occasionally, the Bartons will purchase vehicles from those looking to sell, but they mostly attend auctions with guaranteed units.

Not only do the Bartons guarantee quality vehicles, they guarantee solid customer service.

“We have a lot of people we’ve sold to in the past call in and ask for a particular vehicle and we do our best to seek that out and find it for them.”

Many requests are for a special SUV or a hard-to-find sports car, and the Bartons will do their very best to find exactly what their customers are seeking.

Additionally, Barton Premium Pre-Owned Vehicles offers bank financing with low interest rates, as well as Allstate service contracts, which Dave said is the same thing as Allstate Insurance on their cars for extra coverage.

Everyone is invited to come to the lot and see what the Bartons have to offer.

“If you stop by and we don’t have exactly what you want, let us know and we’ll find it.”

Barton Premium Pre-Owned Vehicles is located at 1208 Johnstown Road, on the corner of Johnstown Road and Eisenhower Drive.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dave said they will stay later by appointment. “We have no problem with working late.”
