— Residents in and around Beckley won’t have an excuse not to lose the holiday weight gain this year. InShapeMD will celebrate the grand opening of its 34th location across the United States in Beckley Monday at 10 a.m.

InShapeMD specializes in medical weight loss, bio-identical hormone treatment (BHRT), and nutraceuticals. Programs at InShapeMD include prescription HCG, fat-burning B12 injections and appetite suppressant medications. Additionally, they offer an individualized testosterone replacement program for men and bio-identical hormone replacement for women using uniquely compounded prescription creams that exactly match the needs of each woman.

And while this InShapeMD will be new in town, co-owner Dr. Rhonda Guy is well known in the area. Teaming up with Dr. James R. Ellis, they hope to take on the obesity epidemic.

“It is our goal to provide southern West Virginia with a new and caring approach to weight loss and healthy lifestyles,” said Ellis.

Guy said she is eager to supplement patients’ lifestyles with pharmaceutical-grade products that can help with cravings, suppressing appetite, improving digestion, boosting energy and maintaining overall health.

She is also happy to offer possible alternatives to bariatric surgery and looks forward to seeing her patients’ transformations as a result of InShapeMD’s medical weight loss and anti-aging programs, she said.

“I’m excited to help people lose weight, but most importantly, to help them learn to eat healthy and make wise choices in order to keep it off,” commented Wellness Consultant Michelle Lowe. “I want to help people feel good so they can live full lives and thrive in their relationships.”

Those who stop by the grand opening Monday at 956 N. Eisenhower Drive in the Cranberry Creek Shopping Center next to Food Lion get free weight loss and anti-aging consultations with a free testosterone lab test, body fat analysis and an energy-boosting vitamin B-12 shot.

There will also be drawings for gift certificates and light refreshments.

InShapeMD will be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information, call 681-238-5258.
