Brad Guthrie and his daughter, Victoria, stand with some old-style dishes on sale at Brad’s Boards at 501 S. Eisenhower Drive in Beckley. The new business, located in the same building as the Speckled Hen, offers hand-crafted cabinets and primitive home decorations and items. All of the cabinets have been made by hand and are unique, according to the store’s owner Brad Guthrie. He hand-makes each cabinet a little bit differently so the item is a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture. The primitive items for sale at the new store include older-looking dolls, the old barn stars and other old-fashioned types of home decoration items. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and closed Sunday.
