More people hit the West Virginia Turnpike this Thanksgiving holiday weekend than ever before.
A record-breaking 177,000 motorists traveled through the Mountain State the Sunday after Thanksgiving, said West Virginia Turnpike General Manager Greg Barr.
“Between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., we had the most traffic compressed into that eight-hour period than we’ve ever had before,” Barr said.
