The California Guitar Trio, which performed Friday evening in Beckley, appeared earlier in the day at a workshop at Woodrow Wilson High School auditorium for students from Bradley Elementary, Shady Spring Middle and Woodrow Wilson’s music classes. From left are Hideyo Moriya of Tokyo, Paul Richards of Salt Lake City, Utah and Bert Lams of Brussels, Belgium. The group’s appearances were provided by the Beckley Concert Association, a volunteer organization that strives to bring quality entertainment to southern West Virginia. The group is funded through grants, personal subscriptions and various donations from friends, associates and benefactors. The next BCA concert will be the Celtic music group, Cherish the Ladies, on Nov. 20 at the Woodrow Wilson High School auditorium.
