Cherry Hill Country Club pro Mark Sims stands beside his favorite part of the course, an old water pump on the fourth hole that dates back to when the golf course was part of a farm. At bottom, in a photo taken from inside the clubhouse, Sims stands on the other side of the glass in a patio area. Sims, a 41-year-old Richwood native, has formed a new company designed to detect forest pests, primarily the gypsy moth and the hemlock woolly adelgid, and protect forested property from insect and disease damage. He spent 21 years with the West Virginia Department of Agriculture, 18 as a regional supervisor in Elkins.
