This single-owner 1964 Ford Fairlane is barred from the competition, but will be on display along with others in Shade Tree Car Club’s final show of the season Aug. 16 at Rally’s Restaurant in Beckley. Wayne Lewis of Crab Orchard bought the car while stationed with the Army at Fort Benning, Ga., then took it overseas to Germany, where he once caught a glimpse of the most famous soldier of the era — Elvis Presley. Standing to the right of Lewis is Shade Tree’s president, Harold Barker.
