Whited Crane Service lifts a tree that fell on a historic Lewisburg home during the high winds of the June 29 derecho. Appalachian Power Co. estimated its costs related to the summer storm at $56 million in West Virginia. Approximately 680,000 electric customers were without power at the peak of the outages, which lasted more than a week during hot, humid weather.
